The Ohio Foundation of Independent Colleges names Karey West Senior Director of Marketing and Communications
May 24, 2011 (Columbus, OH) The Ohio Foundation of Independent Colleges (OFIC), the primary corporate and foundation solicitation organization for 34 Ohio independent colleges and universities, announced Karey West as Senior Director of Marketing and Communications.
West brings 12 years of marketing and sales experience to OFIC with a record of leading very successful marketing efforts, most recently in the information technology industry. “Karey is great asset to our team,” said OFIC President, Gordon Brollier. “We are pleased to have him here not only because of his background in technology and marketing but also because, as a graduate of Otterbein University, he understands the importance of private higher education and the role it plays in the future of the State of Ohio.”
West is responsible for leading OFIC’s marketing and public relations efforts as well as the Evening of Excellence and several other programs that the foundation currently manages. He succeeds Cheryl Kight, who retired earlier this year after more than 25 years of service.
