With more than a bit of mixed emotion, I write to tell you that after nearly 15 years of service to The Ohio Foundation of Independent Colleges, Kathleen Roberts, our Assistant Vice President for Development, has announced that she will be retiring at the end of the calendar year. I have had the distinct pleasure and privilege of working with Kathleen since she began her employment with OFIC in 1997. Many of you also have had the pleasure of working directly with Kathleen through our annual campaign and in securing scholarship support for our Ohio Scholars Program.
Kathleen’s dedication to our mission and her tireless efforts have resulted in significant, critical support for hundreds of young Ohioans in pursuit of their education, and her enthusiasm and persistence have been an inspiration to me and her colleagues.. On behalf of all of us at OFIC, I want to express our heartfelt appreciation and gratitude to Kathleen. While we at OFIC will miss her daily energetic presence and enthusiasm, I know her personal support of our work will continue on through the coming years.
