Our
Colleges
Ohio's independent
colleges and universities are highly regarded and supported financially
by the leading businesses and foundations in Ohio. OFIC colleges:
- Are accessible.
Our 34 member institutions strive to hold down costs by collaborating
to share expenses, particularly in the area of technology, and they
are mission-driven to provide outstanding educational opportunities
for all students regardless of socioeconomic background.
- Offer a wide spectrum
of choices in area of study to both traditional and non-traditional
students in a variety of formats - classroom, online, weekend and
satellite programs.
- Are diverse, varying
in size from 600 students to more than 10,000. Campuses are located
in small rural areas as well as in large urban settings. Diversity
within student bodies is also in evidence, as students come from
a variety of backgrounds, ethnicity and age groups.
- Promote community
involvement by providing a pool of competent volunteers, employment
in the community, outreach programs to elementary and secondary schools,
and bright, capable interns for industry.
